Packaging Materials
Bottles: Our beverage containers are made from the resin PETE (Polyethylene Terephthalate). The safest beverage container available on the market today. We aquire the bottles from Constar Inc. (the worlds largest manufacturer of PETE bottles).
The raw materials used to manufacture PETE are ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid. Bisphenol-A is not present in either of these raw materials nor is it included as an additive at any point during the manufacturing process for PETE. There is no Bisphenol-A in our PETE plastic bottles.
To ensure that you are consuming a product packaged with PETE resin, look for the resin code 1 in a triangle on the bottom of the plastic bottle, accompanied by the letters PET or PETE. An association of PETE bottle manufacturers provides the following web site for more information:

Labels are made from a BOPP plastic. The labels are printed, and then the plastic label and ink is laminated to protect the inks.
Adhesive: The adhesive is a specially formulated acrylic adhesive designed for ease of removability from water bottles while maintaining good bonding with the bottle. This is excellent for recycling bottles.
Pallets: We have designed pallets that work for you. The pallet is only 30" wide thus it will fit through most door ways and elevators for easy movement and storage.
Re-Use And Recycling: Spring Run Bottling Company Inc. is active in the re-use of pallets and recycling cardboard and plastics that comes into our bottling plant. We strongly encourage our customers to recycle the PETE bottles for the many products that use this material. A couple of interesting facts:
- It takes 14 PETE 20 oz. bottles to make one square foot of carpet.
- Fourteen PETE 20 oz. bottles yield enough fiberfill for a ski jacket.
- According to the EPA, recycling a pound of PETE saves approximately 12,000 BTU's
All of our components are manufactured in Virginia, except the bottles which come from Georgia.
